When Jay Watson isn’t touring around the world with Tame Impala, he carves his own way under his solo moniker GUM. Late last year, GUM released a fantastic 80s embracing record called ‘Glamorous Damage’, and now Tame mastermind and bandmate Kevin Parker has remixed the lead single Anesthetized Lesson. Watson has said that while influenced by dance music on his album, the mixing didn’t quite reflect that - so when Parker offered he jumped on the opportunity. Already a gloriously groovy tune, Parker has pushed Anesthetized Lesson to the extreme, giving it his own sparkle with swirling strokes of his paintbrush. All the textures sound bigger, trippier, and funkier as the pair continue to push their boundaries further.
